[Please note that this vacancy is in Lauwersoog, in the North of Groningen] As a server (waiter/waitress) at WEC in Lauwersoog (Groningen), you are the face of the restaurant. You ensure that guests feel welcome and enjoy excellent service. Your responsibilities include:
- Taking orders and serving food & drinks;
- Advising guests on the menu and beverages;
- Keeping the (work) environment neat and inviting;
- Supporting events and special occasions, such as banqueting.

The WEC restaurant is a brand-new restaurant located in the tourist area of Lauwersoog. The boat to Schiermonnikoog also departs from here. The WEC will open its doors on April 26, 2025, at the harbor of Lauwersoog. Located in the UNESCO World Heritage area of the Wadden Sea, the center offers a unique combination of science, nature, and education. With views of Schiermonnikoog, they work daily to preserve the unique nature and the Wadden Sea area and strive for a healthy balance between people and nature for the future.

Wat wij bieden
- A gross hourly wage between €14.41 and €15.15 (21 years or older), depending on your experience;
- A temporary contract for at least six months (with a quick prospect of a permanent position);
- 8% holiday pay and 25 vacation days for a full-time position;

Wat wij vragen
- Experience in hospitality and a passion for great service;
- (No experience? Then you’re willing to take part in our hospitality training first!);
- Flexible availability, including some weekends;
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
- A proactive attitude and eye for detail;
- English fluency (German is a plus!).
