[Please note this job is in Lauwersoog, in the North of Groningen] As a Cleaner at WEC in Lauwersoog (Groningen), you play a key role in keeping the entire venue spotless—from the restaurant to the common areas. You make sure that visitors and staff can enjoy a fresh and welcoming environment every day. Your tasks include:
- Cleaning the restaurant, general areas, and restrooms;
- Checking and refilling cleaning supplies and hygiene products;
- Taking out the trash and keeping the space looking its best;
- Working with your teammates to ensure WEC stays fresh and clean at all times.
We are looking for candidates with prior work experience in cleaning. We have both part-time and full-time positions available. Let us know how many hours you’d like to work, and one of our MF Horeca recruiters will discuss the options with you—everything is possible!
Please note that the working hours for cleaners are between approximately 07:00 AM and 09:00 PM.

WEC is a brand-new company located in the tourist spot of Lauwersoog, where the boat to Schiermonnikoog also departs. WEC will open its doors on April 26, 2025 at the Lauwersoog harbor. Located in the UNESCO World Heritage Area of the Wadden Sea, the center offers a unique combination of science, nature, and education. With views of Schiermonnikoog, they work daily to preserve this special nature and aim for a healthy balance between people and nature. You will be part of WEC's hospitality and banqueting team, which is managed under Compass Group.

Wat wij bieden
- A gross hourly wage between €15.32 and €16.89 (21 years or older), depending on experience, in accordance with Part B of the Collective Labor Agreement for the Contract Catering Industry (Hospitality CAO);
- A temporary contract for at least six months (with a quick prospect of a permanent position);
- 8% holiday pay and 25 vacation days for a full-time position;
- 100% reimbursement of travel expenses from door to door (€0.23 per km, or 100% of your public transport costs);
