What will you be doing as a bar assistant?
As a bar assistant, you’ll be right in the thick of things. You’ll be working behind a busy outdoor bar where speed and a clear overview are crucial. Due to the high volume of customers, we’re looking for colleagues with EXTENSIVE experience behind the bar. Together with your team, you’ll ensure guests receive their drinks quickly and that the atmosphere remains lively.
Your duties:
- Drafting beer and serving drinks
- Processing orders at a fast pace
- Working as part of a close-knit bar team
- Keeping your workspace tidy and organised
Working as a bar staff member during King’s Day & Liberation Day means working through busy periods, getting things done and, above all, having lots of fun whilst the music plays and the square is packed.

Café De Markies, known for its speciality beers, is a well-known spot in Leeuwarden city centre. During the festive season, the square in front of it transforms into a huge party where music, atmosphere and energy come together. You’ll play a direct part in creating the experience for the crowd.

Wat wij vragen
For this role, we are looking for a bar staff member who:
- has extensive experience working behind the bar;
- is available on 27 April and/or 5 May (both dates preferred);
- can handle pressure and adapt quickly;
- thrives in busy environments and at festivals;
- can travel to Leeuwarden independently.
